Help Lead the Next Stage of a Growing Dallas Operation
Our client, an established Dallas-based manufacturer and distributor, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead its manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and distribution operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned operations leader who enjoys being hands-on, developing people, improving processes, and building the structure necessary to support continued growth.
The operation currently includes approximately 55 employees across manufacturing and warehouse/distribution, supported by frontline supervisors. As the company continues to grow and scale, they are looking for an experienced Plant Manager who can bring additional leadership, accountability, consistency, and operational discipline to the organization.
Because a significant portion of the workforce is Spanish-speaking, full professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position.
This is not a position for someone who wants to manage from an office. We are looking for a visible, hands-on leader who is comfortable spending time on the floor, communicating directly with employees and supervisors, understanding how work gets done, and finding practical ways to make the operation better.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day leadership across manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and distribution operations
- Lead, coach, and develop approximately 55 employees through existing frontline supervisors
- Communicate effectively with employees and leadership in both English and Spanish
- Evaluate current workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, safety, and throughput
- Develop and implement processes, procedures, and operating standards that support continued growth
- Establish meaningful KPIs and use operational data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement
- Improve coordination between manufacturing, inventory, warehouse, shipping, and purchasing
- Ensure production and fulfillment schedules are effectively planned and executed
- Strengthen accountability and performance expectations throughout the operation
- Partner with the Director of Operations and company leadership on capacity planning, staffing, workflow, and future growth initiatives
- Maintain a safe, organized, productive, and professional work environment
- Develop supervisors and employees while building a culture centered around reliability, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations without sacrificing product quality or customer service
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced operations leader who has already learned how a well-run facility should operate and can bring that knowledge into a growing organization.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish is required
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing, plant, warehouse, or operations leadership experience
- Previous responsibility for a manufacturing or distribution workforce of comparable or larger size
- Experience leading supervisors and frontline employees
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, warehouse operations, inventory flow, shipping, receiving, and distribution
- Demonstrated success improving processes, productivity, workflow, or operational performance
- Experience establishing SOPs, KPIs, accountability measures, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to build credibility at all levels of an organization
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be highly visible throughout the operation
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational leadership
- A practical, solutions-oriented approach to operational challenges
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A track record of reliability, professionalism, punctuality, and follow-through
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, continuous improvement, ERP/WMS systems, inventory management, or process optimization is highly valued.
Who Could Be a Great Fit?
This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, Warehouse & Distribution Manager, or Assistant Plant Manager who has worked within a larger operation and would enjoy bringing that experience to a smaller, growing company.
You may have spent years managing a larger facility and are ready for an environment where you can have a more direct impact. Here, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with company leadership, influence how the operation evolves, and see firsthand the results of the improvements you implement.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is more than maintaining today's operation. The company is preparing for its next stage of growth and wants an experienced leader who can help build the operational foundation to support it.
You'll inherit an established team and operation, but you'll also have the opportunity to evaluate what's working, improve what isn't, develop the team, create better processes, and help shape the future of the facility.
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000 - $80,000 base salary
- Additional incentive potential
- Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid Time Off
If you're a bilingual English/Spanish manufacturing or operations leader who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and building scalable operations, we'd like to hear from you.
